The City of Columbus has scheduled its RREACT Community Safety Day for Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3639 Parson Avenue. The city's Rapid Response Emergency and Addiction Crisis Team is putting practical resources in a setting where neighbors can arrive for more than one reason.
Practical resources, one neighborhood gathering
The city lists free fentanyl test strips and overdose-prevention resources among the planned offerings, along with groceries for more than 300 families through Jordan's Crossing and other community activities. Some items are marked as subject to availability on the city page. People considering a visit should check that official listing for the latest details before traveling.
The combination matters. A person might come for food or a family activity and also learn where to find a safety tool or a conversation about addiction support. A community event cannot replace treatment or emergency care, and the listing does not report who will attend. It does show a local team putting prevention resources in public view, without requiring someone to know the right office to ask first.
An independent community resource
Robin Recovery is sharing this independent city event as a local resource. We are not listed as an organizer or partner.
